As part of Earth Day festivities, the seventh annual Recycle Hawaii Art of Recycling School Competition student art exhibits were featured in April at Kona International Market, the Waimea Art Center Firehouse Gallery and at the Keaau Recycling and Reuse Center.

As part of Earth Day festivities, the seventh annual Recycle Hawaii Art of Recycling School Competition student art exhibits were featured in April at Kona International Market, the Waimea Art Center Firehouse Gallery and at the Keaau Recycling and Reuse Center.

Some winning art pieces featured in the Keaau exhibit included “Colorful Snake” by Shaedyn Arita of Haaheo Elementary School, “Malama Hawaii Nei” by Aja Pino, Liayla-Romona Pinnow, Jaydence Meribela and Jasmine France-Baughman of Mountain View Elementary School, and “Delilah Tucker” by Kaui Serrao, Tia Kamalii and Jasmine Dela Cruz of Saint Joseph Junior/Senior High School.

“Recycle Hawaii congratulates all of the participating students and schools from across the island,” said Executive Director Paul Buklarewicz.
